Dubuque Dental Associates is very excited to announce that we now offer one visit crowns! To understand the process, a little bit of knowledge is required:

To begin, a crown is a "cap" that looks and functions as a normal tooth. It is structured to fit in with the teeth next to and above or below it. In the past, a patient would have to have an impression made, the crown fabricated at a lab, and the patient will need to be seen over a few appointments, and a couple of weeks to accomplish the making and seating of the crown. During the fabrication of the crown, a temporary crown is worn by the patient.

With CEREC, Dubuque Dental is able to make a digital impression of your teeth. This virtually eliminates impression error and allows for the most anatomically correct crown to be created. Within one visit, the crown will be milled in our office and placed before you walk out of the door! No more gooey impression material, no temporary crown, and no weeks of waiting for the dental lab!
